Firearm Safety and Use

Thanks to Rob Gerner for teaching our women about gun safety and use. If you are interested in owning a firearm and having training in its safe and proper use, call Rob, 760 447-6516. He would be happy to advise you.

Parking Lot Redo

We have a "new" parking lot. PTL! It's been resurfaced and striped. The marks may not be quite right yet, so please park with discretion. There are extra, unmarked spaces around the borders.

Transitional Housing

God is blessing the Transitional Housing program. WMCAH has made an offer on a piece of property off of 27th Place, across from Hatch Motors. The owner countered, and it was beyond our means. However, in the interim funding has miraculously accumulated to where WMCAH can make a fair and reasonable offer. PTL! You may want to help with this effort. Please contact Lee Copeland or Roger Brown.

To Your Comfort and Well-being

We have opened our church, and we are grateful to do so, but some may still feel uncomfortable in groups. That's okay. We understand. You are welcome to attend and practice whatever protective measures you want. If you choose not to attend, you can still view our services on our YouTube channel at bit.ly/newhopecf (enter in address line), or our website at nhcfservices.com.

Shepherding Groups at the following:

We had a good combined Shepherding Group meeting this past week, and now we're back to meeting as separate groups on Wednesdays:

Pastors Tom and Jim's at our church, 6:00 pm (928-243-1864); Roger Brown's at his home, 5:00 pm (520-241-9289), And Lee Copeland's at his home, 5:30 pm (480-518-1178). Prayerfully consider attending one of these groups.

Be A Man

King David in his old age said to his son, Solomon, "Iam going the way of all the earth. Be strong, therefore, and show yourself a man" (1 Kings 2.2). If ever there was a time when we need "godly" men, it is now.

David sets an example. He "was a man after God's own heart," even though he shed blood by the edge of the sword and sinned with Bathsheba (1 Sam 13.14; Acts 13.22).

For years our culture has been emasculating our men. Now, we have boys growing up in the public school system, who are being conditioned as girls. Yes, I know that this is a touchy subject. It would be easy to attach a whole string of negative labels to me, but consider this: As we believe the Bible, we must admit that God created man first, and He created man to take authority over the earth and over his family (Gen. 1.27,28; 2.7,22). More importantly, Jesus came as a Man, "born of a woman, born under the Law" (Gal.4.4).

A responsible, godly man, will "bring up his family in the fear of the Lord." He will teach them right and wrong according to God's Word, and he will provide for their needs out of the strength of his being.

Godly men are not male chauvinists; they are not lazy, nor do they kowtow to the latest political dogma. They are, like God, just and loving, yet, they are not easily intimidated when confronted with conflict. They "stand firm" as the Bible teaches, and they, like David can say, "The LORD who delivered me from the paw of lion and from the paw ,of the bear; He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine (Goliath)" (Ephes.6.14; 1 Sam.17.37).

Men...be MEN...and stand in the gap. Our nation depends on it.

Secretary's Corner

Hi Guys!

Our church chairs really missed you all that weren't feeling well. Ron and Mary sanitized your seats just for you.

Oh, speaking of Mary, she is asking that we all pick up our dishes from the kitchen after our fellowshiping meals. We are trying to find their owners.

Also, Judi Jacobson went home with the wrong crockpot lid. The one she has does not fit her crockpot. Could all of you crockpoters check your lids to see if it is yours. I believe Judi said that the lid had a black snap on the handle. Check your lids anyway!

Also, Cliff Dyrud was passing on a possible preventive ingredients for Covid-19. I typed them out JUST FOR YOU!

So, here it is as well.
