Parking Lot Redo

We have a "new" parking lot. PTL! It's been resurfaced and striped. The marks may not be quite right yet, so please park with discretion. There are

extra, unmarked spaces around the borders.

Our Church Building Use

Over the next couple of Saturdays our church building will be used for Kendra Powell's wedding on July 4th, and the Cheney Ranch HOA will meet here on July 11th. There may be other uses during the summer as needs arise.

To Your Comfort and Well-being.

We have opened our church, and we are grateful to do so, but some may still feel uncomfortable in groups. That's okay. We understand. You are welcome to attend and practice whatever protective measures you want. If you choose not to attend, you can still view our services on our YouTube channel at bit.ly/newhopecf (enter in address line), or our website at nhcfservices.com.

"Congratulations to Kendra Powell and Tim Emery who were married in our church on the 4th of July."

Freedom

Our freedom is too often taken for granted. Most of us have experienced years of being able to go where we want, do what we want, speak what we'd like, practice our religion, and succeed or fail on our own without interference. We forget that most of the world does not have this privilege.

Now, we've been brought up against a new tyranny that's got us confused and angered. After all, who would have believed that the authorities would have limited and controlled our assembling together, our speech, as it might be racist or disrespectful, our freely going and coming from place to place, and the abandonment of law and order in favor of anti-American actions?

Well, welcome to the real planet earth, where "the survival of the fittest" is the rule. The question for us is how do we handle this reality?

Jesus was pretty clear: "Love one another even as I have loved you" (John 13.34). He taught us "to love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, in order that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven..." (Matt.5.44,45). This is only possible when we are "in the Spirit," and unfortunately, most of the world is "in the devil."

Key to our freedom and our survival as a Constitutional Republic is prayer.

Prayer is what brought our Pilgrim forefathers to and sustained them in the new world. Prayer is what kept our nation through the Revolutionary War, and prayer is what formed our state papers.

Prayer may not stop a bullet, but it will restrain a finger from pulling the trigger.

Be encouraged believer...we already have the victory in Jesus Christ. We already have the victory in our faith, our prayers, and in the Holy Spirit's presence to give us true freedom (1 Jn. 5.4).

Secretary's Corner

It wasn't an April fools joke that I put in the date July 1, 2020 on the bulletin. It is called CRS (Can't Remember Stuff.) You guys get it, right?......all of you AARP members.

I guess summer is here. I am not fond of 90-some degree weather, but right now it beats going out to pick up horse manure in 8 degree weather.one. Gosh, I love going to our church. You can feel the luuuuuv eminating from everyone (I know, that was a BIG word coming from me. I hope to get pictures up of our most recent church events soon. Ahhhh.......did you boys move those HEAVY boxes out from under the entryway table yet? Despite what the Governor of California was telling churches that they couldn't sing, me, myself, I am going to sing away and worship our Lord!! You all can come visit me in jail when this Covid thing becomes history. I will be very old and gray then.

I am so very thankful for all of you and am so happy when I can give you a hug. We have some really good huggers in our church. They hug so good (I know, this is not proper English), that I won't ever need to see a chiropractor. You all pop my back for free.Loretta and I are reminding you that Wednesday night Shepherding Group starts at 5:30 beginning with a potluck so bring your pots. That means that all the small groups are meeting as one.

Gosh, we haven't heard from Phil and Cheri lately..........HMMMMM..........PULPIT GREETERS!!!!  Sounds good to me! ☺ Surprise, this is their two week advance
